Troy Cassar-Daley

Australia’s music scene has been one of the hardest hit industries during this current pandemic with many artists, roadies, venues, and associated staff losing work due to Covid lockdowns. Troy Cassar-Daley is one of Australia’s iconic country music stars that has also been hit hard with cancellations of gigs and shows, however 2021 has given time for Troy to not only release a new album, but to deeply reflect on all things past, present, and future. I shot this image of Troy during this current pandemic in his home recording studio.

Wayne Budge is a photographer based in Queensland, Australia who has been photographing landscape images of Australia and around the world for over 40 decades, with his obsession developing into the need to capture images beyond the realm of conventional landscape photography.

Wayne’s black and white portrait exhibition of Australia’s music royalty has also been touring major galleries around Australia since 2019 to critical acclaim.
