Wheaton Mahoney is an award winning photographer based in western Massachusetts and Los Angeles, CA.
Over the past 30 years, Wheaton has created series based photographs ranging from architecture and portraiture to still life and nature studies.
The scope of her work relies heavily on the usage of color and negative space as seen in her House Portrait series. The passing of time is also a frequent subject throughout her work as seen in her latest portfolios, The Forgotten and Autumn’s Cloak.
Her fine art photography has earned her several awards from PhotoDistrict News, Range Finder Magazine, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International and CLICK Pro Magazine. Other highlights include receiving her Master’s Accreditation from The Portrait Masters, four Honorable Mentions from The Monochrome Awards, a write-up and interview by Phase One camera systems, Shutterbug Magazine, and a recipient of the Mahlon Cline Award for Excellence.
Wheaton Mahoney, a mother of two, has been photographing since she was a teenager. She studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated in 1993. Wheaton’s photographs have become part of private collections nationwide and she has displayed portfolios in many gallery and museum exhibitions.
