ENTRY DESCRIPTION
When I was in Warwick on Remembrance Sunday last year, I couldn't believe when I came across this scene. I had to capture it! These two gentlemen were not posing for me, they were just very photogenic and classy - that's how they got my attention.
I'm very old-fashioned and fascinated by the old times. This is one of my favourite pictures as it shows a true expression of myself. This is how I envision the world.
AUTHOR
I started getting into photography after my dad passed away, 6 years ago. I had just moved to the UK; I was lost living in a different country not knowing how to speak English. Capturing the beauty around me was a way to find my peace.
I have done events, portrait and even brand photography, but I wasn't really happy as I was unable to be who I wanted to be as a photographer. I wanted my freedom to express myself, and trying to reach customers' expectation wasn't achieving that. I never regret anything thought; it made me who I am today.
I love the old times as well the scenic views around me. I come from a small town in Brazil which I only left when I moved to the UK. Everything fascinated me when I discovered England and I never stopped taking photos since then.
I use digital and film, but if I had the choice (financially speaking) I would definitely use only my analogue cameras. It amazes me the magic behind it and the challenges as a photographer.
Photography is still my therapy. It's one of those things in life you wish you had done it before...
