ENTRY DESCRIPTION
In the boreal forests along the Finnish-Russian border, there is a 'nursery' where mother brown bears raise their cubs. I spent a week here, on the Finnish side, in July 2022, and captured this image of a young european brown bear cub standing on his hind legs to investigate the arctic terns who were circling him, waiting for leftover scraps of food that they can pick off.
