AUTHOR
Patrick Davidson is a Fine art photographer born with a fascination for NYC architecture.
As a child Patrick was also introduced to traditional film processing and the creation of
Silver Gelatin Prints. Awe struck the 1st time he witnessed the latent image hidden in a
Silver Gelatin Print develop before his eyes in a try of liquid, Patrick immediately felt
a particular pull to combine photography with architecture.
As Patrick grew, he worked through the difficulties of succeeding within what had been
labeled an “expensive hobby” for him. Photography. Patrick eventually found work in various commercial photographic Labs. He found extremely good fortune in the means to exercise autodidacticism, and to learn from mentors and masters. Himself became a master custom printer, film processor, and maintenance technician.
Currently Patrick works on and with the cutting-edge of photographic technology daily. Still celebrating the true blacks, pure whites and neutral grays of a proper monochrome image.
Patrick is most influenced by the following figures.
William Van Alen (Architect)
Yasou Matsui (Architect)
Henri Cartier-Bresson (Photographer)
