Frits van de Reep (The Netherlands, 1967) is graduated in Architecture. His photography is greatly inspired by architectural elements.

Minimalism and tranquillity are central features of his work. Fascinated by the genius loci, he uses the camera to intuitively explore and absorb his environment. A search for hidden beauty to make it visible in all its simplicity and abstraction.

As the light plays with structure and space, other forms are revealed in the shadows.

By composing with mass, space, texture, contrast and rhythm a new image surfaces with its own atmosphere and identity.
