Architecture: Honorable Mention 2022 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The picture shows the inner courtyard of a historic building in Catania, the so-called Palazzo del Toscano. In detail, the detail of the building plan is taken from below, from which it is possible to admire the interesting architectural point of view of the building. The building was initially built, in the early eighteenth century, on a project of the distinguished architect Gian Battista Vaccarini, but its construction stopped on the first floor above the large service rooms on the street, marked by the black and white stone arches typical of other monuments of the Catania baroque.
