ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I am dedicated to experimental photography
My interest is to explore with long exposure photography techniques and the set of graphic design elements through abstract photography and create my own poetic language.

I like to design and build scenographies with lights and leds in my dark studio and play with them applying long exposure photography techniques and composing with the fundamental concepts and criteria of graphic design such as: Space and volume / Rhythm and balance / Symmetry and asymmetry / Scale / Movement / Time... and so on.

All converging and moving in a two-dimensional plane.
I let the elements flow into the viewer's eyes to create Black and White visual experiences.

Jose Penm

AUTHOR
José Penm was born in Venezuela in 1972. He studied graphic design, photography and film production. He was the producer of a number of commercial productions, documentaries and short films, and has built his career after 25 years in the advertising photography and commercial production business. Currently based in the Netherlands he works full time on the development of fine art photography exploring the limits of light behavior through Black and White photographic techniques.
