Director and screenwriter

Marco Cucurnia was born in Genoa in January 1975. Before arriving at the cinema, he began to rationalize the imagination with photography: the first shots were among the coal heaps of the port of Genoa. He worked for many years with Mario Monicelli.

His last prize was: the honorable mention to
Mono Visions Photography Award 2019 for the photographic artwork “Differita” .

He represented Italy at the 2019 Biennale in Greece with the experimental film:

TEACHING
Lessons, still in progress, for children with mental disabilities able to teach them how a moving and motionless image work is formed. At the end of which the children will form the work that does not mediate the mental superstructures and the "dear advice" of those around a set.
