ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo was shot with an iPhone 14 Pro, using the ultra wide camera — 13 mm f2.2, at Bayard Cutting Arboretum on Long Island at the start of April 2023.

Upon looking up, I found the intertwining branches presented an interesting perspective, one that seemed both menacing and beckoning to a spring season on the verge.

Jamie Lynn Ryan is a proud graduate of the Lindy High Class of 2000. After earning her BFA in Journalism from the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University, Jamie went on to work at South Bay’s Neighbor Newspapers, where she served as editor and columnist for over 13 years, penning nearly 700 columns. She has since transitioned to a career in the marketing field, working as an Account Director at Morey Creative Studios. An avid landscape photographer in her free time, Jamie especially enjoys capturing scenes of Long Island’s beautiful coastline.
