Architecture: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Those spectacular sails on the Sydney Opera House - here dwarfing a distant plane - have been photographed countless times by countless photographers. I have found that they are always beautiful, no matter the angle or time of day, in close-up or from a distance - an inexhaustible subject. A perfect creation in just the right place.
AUTHOR
Photography has been my passion since retiring from teaching. I am an opportunistic photographer, taking photos of what catches my eye in my surroundings, whether it be architecture, flowers and birds or landscapes. My photographs have all been taken in Australia which offers an unending supply of subject matter with its dramatic countryside and seasons, its unique flora and fauna and its splendid cities.
