Architecture: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This facade of repetitive balcony elements belongs to the Lebua Tower Hotel in Bangkok (Thailand). I took this shot from the street level and applied some strong perspective corrections and stretches in post-processing to yield this weird shot that represents well the famous Thai saying "same, same, but different".
AUTHOR
I am a retired university professor (atomic physics, quantum optics) with a passion for light, color, and the living world in all its variations. Photographing for more than 60 years, I currently focus on bird photography, mainly in Switzerland, and in not too far away European countries. I have discovered in recent years that participating in photo contests and/or salons is a challenging (and sometimes rewarding ) full-time pastime.
