Architecture: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)

ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I am ignorant of all things architectural, but I liked the textures and the tonal range.
AUTHOR
I went to law school in New York. Between classes, I would wander through the streets in the neighborhood. It was exciting, exhilarating and more than a little strange. I bought my first camera, an Olympus OM-1, four years later. I didn't realize it at the time, but I suppose it was inevitable that I would turn to street photography. Camera in hand, I went back to the streets I had explored when I was in law school. Now, after nearly half a century, I still love those streets.
When I have to title a photograph, I don't like to give too much information. A photograph is a chapter in a book. A good photograph is one that moves the viewer to imagine the rest of the story. It may not be my story, but that doesn't matter. If it's a good image, the viewer will provide the "before" and "after". If I reveal too much, it will only get in the way.
