Architecture: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The image was taken during the final of the Red Bull Cliff Diving world jumping championship in Bilbao, on September 14, 2019, next to the Guggenheim Museum. In it, a jumper rises above the corners of the museum forming his own angle, establishing an analogy between his body and the silhouette of the museum. It seeks to highlight this analogy, highlighting the scale between man and building, with man, who redesigns his habitat, projecting it onto the building.
The image was captured by measuring the lights to extract detail from them, while in the post-processing the shadows are lightened and contrasted to later extract details of the sky and balance the dynamic range of the image
The jumper image is slightly underexposed to make it stand out and match the shadow tones.
