Like a page from a dark fairy tale in another world and time, Sharon aims to bring the viewer into her magical world through her conceptual self-portraits, anonymously using herself as the subject. Influenced by fairy tales, myths, and folklore, Sharon is able to transport the viewer into the depths of her imagination while expressing her deepest and darkest thoughts and secrets.

Sharon Covert is an artist residing in Tinton Falls, NJ with a focus on conceptual self-portraits. She has a strong belief that art has the power to heal. Sharon is both enamored and inspired by fairytales, myths, folklore, nature, and all things magical. Her self-portraiture combines anonymity with symbolism, surrealism, and pictorial qualities. She seeks to highlight the beauty in darkness and aims to bring the viewer into her magical world. Using herself as the subject in her conceptual art, she expresses her deepest darkest thoughts and secrets.
