ENTRY DESCRIPTION
These are two photos I took this year combined together. The primary image is the room, long since abandoned in an old house that is slowly working its way to the ground, an exercise that it will have some assistance with soon, as the site is a few years away from being redeveloped. I combined this interior shot of the abandoned house together with a photograph of a Howler Monkey I took this past June in the Pantanal of Brazil. The Howler seemed an apt placement within this room that time has passed by, while the fixture of the room, the couch has remained in its place. I worked to blend the Howler Monkey into the shot, extracting it from the jungle tree branch onto the couch, ensuring shadowing stayed true to form for the shades of light coming through the windows. While I was alone shooting the room, I was not truly alone...there was definitely something scrambling along inside the outer wall where some animal had made itself a home.
