ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The sense of motion and grace of an aging tulip reminded me of the exhilarating images of dancers, frozen in time by the iconic photographer Lois Greenfield.
Here, I used backlighting and multiple exposures with black and white processing to better reveal the flower's structure, highlighting the beautiful veining and transparency of the petals.
AUTHOR
Patti is an emerging photographer specializing in macro photography. Her flower image styles range from realistic to painterly to abstract. She uses numerous techniques to create her images while exploring a full range of focus choices including both selective focus and focus-stacking, depending on the subject and mood to be conveyed.
Patti first became serious about studying photography during the pandemic. She has had more time to explore this new passion after retiring from her lifelong career as a mathematician.
