ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The sense of motion and grace of an aging tulip reminded me of the exhilarating images of dancers, frozen in time by the iconic photographer Lois Greenfield.

Here, I used backlighting and multiple exposures with black and white processing to better reveal the flower's structure, highlighting the beautiful veining and transparency of the petals.

Patti is an emerging photographer specializing in flower and street photography. She first became serious about studying photography at the end of the pandemic. Patti has had more time to explore this new passion after retiring from her lifelong career as a mathematician.
