While the seas and oceans of the world are never completely still, within this image there is the appearance that the body is breaking through the tension of the waters surface. Causing an irritation and disruption which results in the captured splash.

AUTHOR
While working as a graphic designer, Maxim Naumann used images to enrich his creativity and discovered photography as a new visual language. Based in Düsseldorf, he captures the world, from Europe to the remote landscapes of Australia, with an instinctive approach, letting spontaneity guide his lens. His work, awarded the Swiss Photo Club Critics Choice in 2023, explores textures, light and raw emotion through compositions that oscillate between fashion and snapshots of life, borrowing their intensity and timelessness from cinema. The artist's quest? To capture that perfect moment, suspended in time, that transcends the instant to become pure emotion.
