ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a photo that is part of a series of 6. All of tulips.
I tried to preserve these tulips by photographing them, but the photo also represents the human state and the world we nowadays live in. Nature is no longer dominant, especially in my country it is subject to human condition. It is contained, restricted and has to "fit in" with the country and landscape that is created by us. That is why I chose to portray these tulips the way I did: restricted , tied down, boxed in between plates.
AUTHOR
I am a photographer from the Netherlands, based in Landsmeer. Besides photography I work in health care as a physio- and manual therapist. Photography is my escape from the fast paced life we lead.
I specialize in fine art photography, with a focus on landscape photography, but sometimes I experiment with still life and portraiture photography as well.
