Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This was shot in Banff National Park with a Nikon Z5 specially modified for 830nm infrared photography. This shot in particular shows off the wonderful way infrared sees into shadows and lets highlights bloom in the snowdrifts wafting over the peaks. I'm thinking that with the right subject, and the right light, infrared can stretch beyond it's gimmicky reputation and deliver bold, solid results. What say you?
