Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This is a view of Disko Bay, west Greenland where most of the icebergs in the northern hemisphere start their life; having been calved from a nearby glacier. On this day the conditions were calm affording wonderful reflections. The views are forever changing as the ice giants flow and change. As a result, this view no longer exists. The landscape is ephemeral, even though the icebergs are sometimes enormous monoliths.
AUTHOR
I'm a keen amateur photographer with a passion for minimalist, abstract and otherworldly images. This kind of photography allows me to create and quite frankly escape a little bit from 'reality.' I live in rural North Wiltshire in the UK but through my job I have had the opportunity to travel far and wide. I particularly like seascapes but dabble in all kinds of landscape. Currently use Fuji GFX kit.
