Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2023 (amateur)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I took this image during my first visit to Iceland march this year, I was snowed into a hotel for 3 days and managed to eventually reach the Vestrahorn as the storm was passing over. it was minus 8 and windy as hell, I found some sand dunes that mimicked the shape of the mountain and I got a small window of light breaking through the clouds which lit up the peaks on the mountain and the sand dunes in the foreground. I opted for a square crop as it emphasises the sand dunes similar in shape to the peaks of the Vestrahorn.
