ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Bombing dragon is the core activity of the Lunar New Year Lantern Festival, developed by the Hakka people in Miaoli County, Taiwan.
Firecrackers set off when welcoming the dragon. It means to welcome the god dragon and to scare away evil spirits. Also, more firecrackers make the business more prosperous.
Street dragon blasts are held at night. The dragon dance team at the scene of dragon blasting ran all over the field on the artillery street full of sparks. The sound of cannons rumbles, the flames of war shoot out everywhere, and smoke fills the air. It presents a rare festive atmosphere like a superstar concert.
Every dragon dancer was dirty and black when the activity ended, like a miner who came out of the mine.
