AUTHOR
I was born in the Eightees. During my yought I travelled since my 4 years with my parents and brother to different countries in the world. I had always a compact film camera with one film of 36 pictures with me. First I took only the pictures I liked. Years later I started to photograph with more experiments.
When I was 25 years old, I followed for 5 years photography studies in evening class. The course took place in Hoogstraten.
I have also a bachelor law that I succeeded in the university of Antwerp. I would like to achieve a master degree in law, that's for the future.
Recently I finished a 2 years specialisation course photography at the art academy in Hoogstraten. I had to work on a project. In 2018 I won a honorable mention in monoawards category fine arts. The title of the work is tradition and resistance. This work was the start of a great project that I realized in a project with title: Stan in Absurdgium. This project consists of two series: a streetseries and homeseries.
It's absurd Belgian humour.
Even that I worked on a project, I can't live life to the fullest. I suffer from a disease that started in my childhood. That's why I do photography for fun and not for a living. I do not photograph as a profession.
I have a own Pinterest page: Christiaan Cuyckens Photography.
