Taken in Venice Beach (CA), 'One' is a candid photo of a lady as she's leaving the public showers and wipes her eyes off of the water. Her spontaneous pose, with crossed legs and her arms bent on her chest, aligns with the number on the back partition of the building to suggest the dramatic effort, as well as the struggle to reproduce as a human, the ideal shape of the number one.
