ENTRY DESCRIPTION
We live in a society where desire and lust are intrinsic and complex elements that deeply influence the way we interact, perceive and understand the world around us. These aspects, although present throughout the history of humanity, have evolved and adopted new forms in contemporary times.
The representation of a young and attractive woman, with a seductive look, emerges partially covered by what resembles a snake's skin. This symbolism evokes the figure of the snake in the biblical story of Eden, linking the image with betrayal and seduction. The snake skin, revealing one of her breasts, suggests the vulnerability and exposure inherent in the forbidden act, as well as the desire and lust that dwells within us.
In one hand, the woman holds the snakeskin firmly, symbolizing awareness and acceptance of sin. The other hand presents a bitten and succulent apple, a direct nod to the forbidden fruit that triggered the expulsion from paradise. The apple, offered with an expression that promises pleasure and lust, encapsulates the irresistible temptation that leads to sin.
The woman's dark, moist and sensual lips, charged with an enigmatic aura, intensify the seduction and moral ambiguity of the scene. This visual composition invites the viewer to reflect on the complexities of desire, temptation, and choices that define our humanity.
