ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Instead of a traditional artist portrait, I've started to do portraits that capture artists working in their studios. This is Veronica Cay portraying her movement in camera as well as mirrors in the shot. Let's reframe the notion of the artist as being part of their art. Not an artist and not an artwork. Veronica is multi-faceted, working in sculpture, drawing, charcoal and paint. All of which are portrayed in this photo in her amazing studio.

Many of Veronics pieces are multi layered continually constructed and deconstructed; in this image as she adds and subtracts the artist is just one more layer reflected in these actions.
