ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Growing up by the sea in Southern China, the ocean and fishes are my most important memories of hometown. With the high-resolution images from Phase One camera, the deep black background which represents the ocean at night and the outline of the side lighting resembles the dim fishing light, the photo series, The Peak, uses a geometric triangular composition to emphasize the dorsal fins of the fish as towering and grandeur as mountain peaks. In the transformation of the microscopic subtlety and macroscopic magnificence, this series of work conveys the reverence for life and the praises to the majesty of nature.
