AUTHOR
I had an interest in art at an early age. I was a Fine Arts and Economics Major in college. My first passion was painting. My path took me to the corporate world where I put painting aside but picked up a camera as time would allow. A mathematician by nature, I am fascinated with the technical underpinnings of photography. The Medium Format Phase One and Technical cameras have peaked my enthusiasm for the art of photography.
A New Yorker by birth, I find inspiration in the heartbeat of city life. Capturing enduring portraiture in these difficult environments with the Phase One Medium Format Camera system, arguably the best camera system in the world, has been my passion for several years. As a street photographer, I attempt to capture the soul of a place by engaging its people. I seek to create authentic, impromptu environmental portraits that tell a story, preserving our cultural history by collecting scenes of everyday life.
