Landscapes: Honorable Mention 2023 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I am constantly amazed by the leaves and trunks of bamboo trees.
Whenever I encounter bamboo trees, I experience a sense of comfort and tranquility stemming from their distinctive Asian essence. Their remarkable strength and flexibility leave a lasting impression on me.
In an attempt to capture their beauty, I sought to translate the interplay of light and darkness into black and white. I also printed this representation on rice paper to emphasize the unique texture of the medium.
