ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Fantasia is an equestrian tradition practiced mainly in the Maghreb, involving the simulation of military assaults. The art is also known as "jeu de la poudre" or "jeu des chevaux", and locally (in Morocco) as tbourida. The Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee has announced that tbourida will be inscribed on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2021.
