ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Meeting the incredible centenarian from the Brao ethnic minority was a heartwarming experience. She belongs to a community spread across Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, and her stories unveiled the beautiful cultural practices of the Brau people. The tradition of ear stretching among Brau women, starting in childhood and continuing through their lives, reflects their deep heritage. These elongated earlobes signify much more than a personal journey; they hold immense significance, seen as a symbol of fortune for the entire community, showcasing the rich traditions and values cherished by the Brao people.
