ENTRY DESCRIPTION
One of the distinctive cultural aspects of the Pokot tribe is their traditional neckpiece, which is often worn by older women as a symbol of their age, status, and cultural heritage. The Pokot neckpiece is a large and heavy ornament made from various materials, such as beads, shells, and metal. These neckpieces can be quite elaborate, with intricate designs and vibrant colors. They are worn close to the neck and typically consist of multiple layers or strands.
