Wildlife: Honorable Mention 2023 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photograph was taken on the Great Blasket Island a remote island off the Dingle Peninsula in Co. Kerry, Ireland. This is the most westernly Islands in Europe. On the Tra Ban beach there is a colony of grey seals . These seals come all the way from Scotland and the British Isles to breed around the Blaskets in late summer and early Autumn . This photograph was taken in June where a few hundred seals were resting on the beach- I managed to focus in one Seal who appeared to look straight at the camera .
