Wildlife: Honorable Mention 2023 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo was taken near Beed, Maharashtra, India. The Indian Fox is a shy animal. The challenge of the photo is working in low light. After sunset and before sunrise, they are only seen when they are out all day and when late evening approaches, they come calling to their young. They kiss each other and then start playing and having fun until the mother calls them. The cubs are so secretive that they are so scared that if there is even the slightest sound, they quickly run away. Literally cow dung was sitting on the body so that it would not smell us.
