ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Running aground during a cyclone in 1935 on K’gari (Fraser Island), the remnants of the S.S. Maheno have laid rusting away in the same spot ever since. Now a popular tourist destination along the famous 75 Mile Beach, it’s easy to see why this is a fan favourite and must-do when visiting K’gari.
Taken using a high key approach, something I had always wanted to do, but never had done in the past. Also never using Adobe software at this time, I decided to overexpose the whole scene to eliminate the background and accentuate this textured rusting hunk of steel.
