ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The dunes in Death Valley National Park truly speak to me. The morning light is like no other place. There is a stillness that I love along with the light that is constantly changing as it cascades down the individual and unending dunes.

JoAnn Silva is a Utah based photographer currently working with a focus on the American West. JoAnn’s photography often reflects on the interplay of light and shadow, revealing the raw, untamed beauty she finds herself chasing in her Jeep, heading down many remote roads. She received her BFA in Art from United States International University. With a keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to her craft, JoAnn has a passion for photographing raw untouched landscapes.
