Cruising through the land of ice and fire, I spotted these sheep near the Skógafoss and I thought to myself: it’s like these sheep are VIPs on the front row of nature’s most intense show, looking blissfully indifferent to the sheer force of the waterfall behind them. They're calm, cool, and collected—probably because they know they’re the real highlight of this photo.
Maybe they’re even pondering the deeper questions in life: Why are we here? Is it for the grass, or is there something more to life? The one on the left seems to be deep in thought, possibly thinking about becoming a poet. Meanwhile, the one on the right is definitely just here for the grass. Typical.
Either way, it’s an epic landscape shot made even better by these stoic woolly figures. Who knew sheep could be such iconic influencers? It’s as if they're saying: 'Move over, humans. We own this waterfall now.' And you have to admit, they wear it well."
AUTHOR
My name is Flo, which is short-term for Florian and I am from Linz, Austria.
I make my pictures with my beloved DSLR-camera, to be exact it is a Canon Eos 5d Mark IV.
I am a huge fan of nature and all its varieties, such as forests, mountains, mountain pastures with all its animals and - of course - northern lights. Since my first holiday on the Lofoten in 2017 you can call me addicted to Madam Aurora ;-)
Two further trips to the north in 2019 (Finland and Lyngen Alps) and 2020 (again Lofoten and Tromsø) haven't reduced this addiction - quite the contrary.
Ever since I've discovered the fascination of b/w-photography I'm addicted to that, too. It is kind of magic what one is able to create with this kind of photography.
More of my pictures on www.flo-tography.com :-)
