The name Lotophagoi comes from ancient Greek and means lotus eater (lōtophágoi), that's the name of a race of people from Homer's epic poem the „Odyssey“, living on an island dominated by the lotus tree.
It's one of my favorite stories from Homer's poem „Odyssey“, because its a story about the grim side of the human psyche, but also a story about passion and the psychedelic experience (derived from the Greek words ψυχή psychḗ 'soul, mind' and δηλείν dēleín 'to manifest', with the meaning "mind manifesting).
These are topics that interest me artistically. My art and photography reflect these themes, with the intention of revealing a part of the human psyche to the viewer through photography.
