AUTHOR
Lucas Garcete (Ciudad del Este, 2000) Spanish poet and visual artist born in Paraguay.
In his visual work, centred on photography and close to the Dark Art movement, constructs a poetic discourse against the light that addresses themes such as death, love, terror and transcendence. He explores the mystery of the human condition, creating elegiac and dreamlike images, charged with symbolism and a strong emotional energy.
Through the use of black and white with an analogue look, he constructs scenes full of sharp contrasts of light, often illuminated by faint sources such as moonlight or distant lights, immersing himself in a nocturnal environment that evokes a constant sense of melancholy. This stylistic choice not only enhances the visual aesthetic, but also deepens the thematic content of his photographs.
