ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Georgia’s ruling party adopted the "foreign agent's" law in its third and final reading by 84 votes against 30 on May 14. The law will force foreign-funded NGOs and media organizations to register as “organizations pursuing the interests of a foreign power”.
Before and after adoption of the draft law of "Foreign Agents", the streets of Tbilisi have been taken over by continuous mass rallies of Large numbers of young people. During the protests, many participants were victims of physical violence by the state's special forces, many people were arrested.
Brave young lady protests the law in front of the state special forces. Special forces are protecting the Georgian Parliament building from the peacful protesters. That day (May 14) Georgia’s ruling party adopted the foreign agents’ law.
Georgia is currently at the crossroads of democracy and authoritarianism.
