ENTRY DESCRIPTION
The normal world is bright, and even the shadows that form there are not so dark as to completely obscure the objects. This work is an imaginative creation intended to make that image feel more constricting. It depicts a bright world surrounded by a pitch-dark one where light doesn't reach, with the contrast further deepened by the addition of stairs that amplify the sense of confinement. I aimed to convey the preciousness of freedom that can be felt from such constriction.
The photograph was taken using the strong light of the day, with the overall contrast of the image enhanced through post-processing.
