ENTRY DESCRIPTION
I captured this moment in my local park in London Ontario, Canada, where a Red-Tailed Hawk was devouring a squirrel at ground level. This unique encounter, as these birds typically stay perched in trees, provided an excellent opportunity to be at eye level with a powerful predator. Unfazed by park activities, the hawk maintained focus on its meal, allowing me to slowly approach and capture a more dramatic pose. Its intense gaze speaks volumes about the prowess of these magnificent hunters. I used the monochrome effect to heighten the drama and emphasize the raw power and untamed beauty of this incredible raptor.
