ENTRY DESCRIPTION
My recent exploration into hybrid photography, where I use a Sinar large format camera with a dry plate to frame and capture the image with a digital camera. I am very interested in how simple folded paper shapes present themselves to the lens under strategically placed lighting within a still-life diorama. As seen through the lens, the unpredictable sculptural shapes and forms trigger an endless curiosity and pursuit. The work of Japanese photographer Haruhisa Terasaki has given me inspiration for this method of image capture.
