ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This photo is part of a series that was taken out of a sense of despair at not being able to photograph as much as I used to, because I am suffering from Long Covid since 2023. My professional life, which is closely connected to my passion for photography, is no longer possible.

The few photos I take are mainly captured in my garden, or I shoot my garden plants indoors – like these exploding Tragopogon pratensis seed heads.

I’m an italian-austrian photographer, born and grown up in Italy and living in Salzburg, Austria.

I discovered photography very late, during a long and difficult period of my life and only one year later I gave up my old jobs and started to work as a freelance photographer and journalist for many international magazines and publishers.

I am mostly an outdoor photographer and I work exclusively with existing light.

I am fascinated by the apparently insignificant and by ephemeral and small details in nature. Observing and photographing nature and animals is indispensable to calm my soul and my hearth. On the other hand focusing on social themes is a need for me as a human being.

My photos have been awarded many times in internationally renowned photo competitions.
