ENTRY DESCRIPTION
This work is an allegory of the human yearning for freedom. The protagonist is a female figure captured in the act of soaring into the air, as if escaping the severity of her surroundings, evoking lightness and transcendence. The image conveys a message of defiance and boundless possibilities, inviting the viewer to contemplate the resilience of the human spirit. In the dialogue between the figure and her environment, a universal theme is revealed: the ability to break free from constraints and pursue lofty aspirations. The composition, imbued with tension and hope, reminds us that freedom is not only an ideal but a condition that can be achieved.

AUTHOR
Born in Rome, Italy, in 1961.
At the very basic level photography is for me mainly a tool to investigate from an artistic point of view the relations between space and form which become manifest through geometry and simmetry. This is reflected into an interest in architectural photography, with a particular attention to modern architecture, where I use a rigorous black and white and post-production techniques in an attempt to reach abstraction by transcending realism.
My artistic inspiration can be traced back to the metaphysical painting, to the geometric intricacies of Escher, to the essential architectures of Hopper, to the ambiguities of Magritte.
