Fine Art: Honorable Mention 2024 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Photography, as part of the "Sacrum" project, is an attempt to capture the complexity of the human need for expression at the intersection of the sacred and the profane. This project tells the story of searching for one's own form of expression, which for some is conveyed through words, for others through images, and for yet others through dance. Each of us, striving to go through life with full awareness, seeks a medium that best conveys our inner experiences and deep reflections.
Normally, photography in this project becomes more than just an image; it is a reflection on what the sacred can mean to a person. Every element of the frame, every play of light and shadow symbolizes the individual paths we take to reach our own source of sanctity. In a world where the sacred and the profane constantly intertwine, art and expression are the bridges that connect these two seemingly opposing realms.
This project encourages contemplation on what our own sacred is and how we find it in everyday life.
