Fine Art: Honorable Mention 2024 (professional)
ENTRY DESCRIPTION
Playing with light, blur and sharpness, I mix images of ancient sculptures and living beings to create a dialogue between past and present, questioning the notion of time. Through these photos, I want to evoke emotion and show that human beings, through the arts, transcend their condition. My images explore the duality of life/death and earth/heaven, visually translating profound relationships.
AUTHOR
Claire Farah, who holds a Master's degree from the Ecole du Louvre, has been practicing photography since 2020, fascinated by human beings and their ability to inscribe emotions in matter.
Black and white, timeless and aesthetic, is her preferred choice. Photography, with its magic and surprise effect, allows her to see beyond appearances. It helps her to question the world.
Her current project examines contemporary bodies, comparing them to those of ancient sculpture. Her work is a quest for Beauty and the Divine. Her singular approach, as a woman and as an artist, is distinguished by an authentic eye, direct and filled with wonder at the most minute details that Light offers us.
