An abandoned house in the Westfjords of Iceland. A work for my long-term documentary "Somewhere I Belong"

AUTHOR
Born in the southern rural area of Bavaria (Germany), I live and work in my studio in Berlin Friedrichshain.

In my work as a photographer I deal with the lives of people in rural, remote areas. I am fascinated by the way they react and interact with their slowly changing environment. I also frequently explore themes of isolation - physical, social and spiritual - in my long-term documentaries, focusing on an emotive, empathetic and participatory approach to telling the stories i found there.
