ENTRY DESCRIPTION
An impala, which is a common antelope in Africa, decides to pose in from of the rising sun, to dramatic effect. The image was deliberately under-exposed so as to not lose the highlights in the sun. Most sunrise or sunset silhouettes are in colour, with the deep orange hues being the dramatic hero of the images. In this image, we wanted the unsung impala to be the hero and chose the less usual black and white treatment.

We are very species agnostic in our photography and believe that any animal in the wild, be they the iconic cats, elephants or rhinos or the unheralded plains game, can make for striking and beautiful imagery.

AUTHOR
We are an amateur photographer couple that is truly inspired by the natural world and the amazing creatures that roam wild in it. We also have a strong belief that the best way to get into the souls of these sentient beings and showcase their innate nature is to photograph them in black and white.
